Talking About Injustices

(D)ude: Man! I’ve been trying to retrieve specifics about eighteen-year-old Michael Brown’s ambitions and personality. I want to know him because the United States Press Corps statistically dismisses Black American boys and men as a conglomerate of misdirected drive and dangerousness.

(M)an: Dude! The LA Times was the first to provide details Monday of Mike Brown’s envisioning a career as a heating and cooling engineer, while W_W_W dot VOX dot com did an excellent thirteen question slide presentation of last Saturday’s police execution of the unarmed teenager and the subsequent protests and police militarization tactics employed giving way to riots earlier this week until Thursday’s peaceful demonstrations under the  compassion and supervision of Police Captain and Ferguson native Ron Johnson.

D: Man! Captain Ron Johnson administered and received back a lot of genuine embraces and handshakes from the community of mourners collaboratively attempting to calm the tidal waves of outrageous behaviors and actions by the Ferguson, Missouri PD and the resulting civilian reactions of revulsion and disparity and hopelessness and fear nationwide.

M: Dude! The United States Press Corps needs to be handed legal dictionaries and instructed to look up the words robbery and theft. Or, at least, given access to the Internet and Wikipedia’s differentiations between common law and civil law, robbery and shoplifting, and race and humanity. According to W_W_W dot VOX dot com, Michael Brown would be attending his first day of classes last week at Vatterott College, a Missouri trade school where he was scheduled to pursue his American Dream.

D: Man! The duplicate eyewitness evidence by Tiffany Mitchell and Dorian Johnson lending to a first-degree murder charge against Officer Darren Wilson is causing widespread panic amongst the sectarian United States Press Corps that has thus far smothered fatal abuses by law enforcement nationwide, in the cases of Eric Garner, John Crawford, Ezell Ford, and Dante Parker. From all the articles available online, Greg Howard’s from 8:52 PM Tuesday was the first to actually place a historical perspective on the crisis with the title America Is Not For Black People.

M: Dude! Greg Howard’s article actually has a wonderful connecting link to The Atlantic, specifically Ta-Nehisi Coates’s May 21, 2014 featured feat The Case for Reparations: Two hundred fifty years of slavery. Ninety years of Jim Crow. Sixty years of separate but equal. Thirty-five years of racist housing policy. Until we reckon with our compounding moral debts, America will never be whole.

D: Man! Greg Howard’s article also links onto the American Civil Liberties Union’s June 2014 investigation War Comes Home: The Excessive Militarization of American Policing. The findings are haunting, especially the instances of SWAT raid lapses and graphic casualty reports interspersed throughout the research study alongside the haunting photographs of victims like Tarika Wilson and her 14-month-old son, 68-year-old grandfather of twelve Eurie Stamp, 19-month-old Bounkham “Baby Bou Bou” Phonesavanh, 26-year-old Iraq War veteran Jose Guerena, and 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones.

M: Dude! Greg Howard’s analyses are noteworthy. Part of the reason we're seeing so many black men killed is that police officers are now best understood less as members of communities, dedicated to keeping peace within them, than as domestic soldiers. The drug war has long functioned as a full-employment act for arms dealers looking to sell every town and village in the country on the need for military-grade hardware, and 9/11 made things vastly worse, with local police departments throughout America grabbing for cash to better defend against any and all terrorist threats. War had reached our shores, we were told, and police officers needed weaponry to fight it.

D: Man! Continuing, Officers have tanks now. They have drones. They have automatic rifles, and planes, and helicopters, and they go through military-style boot camp training. It's a constant complaint from what remains of this country's civil liberties caucus. Just this last June, the ACLU issued a report on how police departments now possess arsenals in need of a use. Few paid attention, as usually happens.

The worst part of outfitting our police officers as soldiers has been psychological. Give a man access to drones, tanks, and body armor, and he'll reasonably think that his job isn't simply to maintain peace, but to eradicate danger. Instead of protecting and serving, police are searching and destroying.

M: Dude! And concluding that section of Howard’s article, If officers are soldiers, it follows that the neighborhoods they patrol are battlefields. And if they're working battlefields, it follows that the population is the enemy. And because of correlations, rooted in historical injustice, between crime and income and income and race, the enemy population will consist largely of people of color, and especially of black men. Throughout the country, police officers are capturing, imprisoning, and killing black males at a ridiculous clip, waging a very literal war on people like Michael Brown.

D: Man! Michael Brown had a very evidentially legit concern for becoming terrified of the repercussions of submitting himself to police authorities last Saturday afternoon. Because he was headed for college in a matter of just two days, Mike feared an arrest record from a possible and highly likely if not definite detrimental confrontation with White American police officers for himself as a Black American youth with an intimidating height and stature as well as the dark complexion.

M: Dude! Fear of an arrest record to contend with for life well before his parents and he could begin the latest chapter of collegiate planning and ambitions for Mike as he was headed to Vatterott College, Michael Brown’s decision to keep moving forward and away from the grasps of the Ferguson Police Officer Warren Davis is justifiable.

D: Man! Yes, Mike’s anxiety is palpable considering how the stats were stacked against his being able to face justice in such an otherwise defensible case for white guys like ourselves. God! Where art thou?

M: Dude! Where art thou, God?

D: Man! In Michael Brown’s defense, there were no dashboard cameras in Officer Warren Davis’s patrol car because they remained unpacked at the Ferguson Police Department Headquarters. Criminal intent on the part of the predominantly combatively racialist Ferguson PD? It reminds me of the lack of statistical data in research conducted by the Center For Community Alternatives_(CCA) and American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers concerning The Use of Criminal History Records in College Admissions Reconsidered.

M: Dude! How so?

D: Man! The CCA and the AACRAO developed a 59-question survey instrument that was electronically administered through their USA network of over three thousand member institutions. Out of the 3,248 institutions only 273 responded even after being told their identities would remain strictly confidential.

M: Dude! To use criminal justice info in the screening process of college applicants but not be held accountable for filling out such surveys by the CCA and the AACRAO is flagrantly unfair. Talk about injustice!

D: Man! Talking about injustice, 24% of the colleges that did perform criminal background checks admitted to not knowing the specifics of how the background checks were conducted, whether by the state agency assigned to collecting criminal records and known simply as the State Central Repository, or contracting through a private company specializing in background checks.

M: Dude! And to think that Michael Brown might have had to self-report any skirmishes between himself and that Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson to the devastation of possibly being placed on probationary status for the duration of his time in college and then having that other possibility of being denied admission completely or becoming disheartened to the point of self withdrawal from professional school.

D: Man! It’s too serious an accusation to tell a student his or her criminal justice info is sufficient grounds for probationary status or rejection, when you yourself do not know all the specifics to how your educational institution gathers and collects and stores such data! There is the inference of premeditated intensions here too in terms of the college admissions department dismissing an entire population of applicants. And we have to keep in mind that students who never had a record with law enforcement beforehand overwhelmingly and singlehandedly commit the offenses on college campuses.

Election TuesDay November 4, 2014: Register, Then Vote!!!!

Man! Dude! Session #303

(M)an: Dude! Do you know how to spell Tiananmen Square?

(D)ude: Man! T-I-A-N-A-M-E-N_S-Q-U-A-R-E?

M: Dude! You forgot an “N” and close enough spellings are not acceptable in today’s global economy.

D: Man! The American Press Corps not directing their journalism and multimedia interns to read and inform them of specifics from Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Hard Choices is unacceptable in today’s global society.

M: Dude! Hard Choices is the countermeasure to the destruction and violence that the Republican Tea GOP is bringing onto the streets of Ferguson, Missouri right now. There ought not be any protests in the town squares because the Tea GOP Republicans are wanting to provoke minority populations to disrupt and fume the flames of that wrath and incinerate their own diverse communities. The only antidote to all this hate and fury is for every concerned and bereft American to plan today to register to vote by his or her county’s deadlines and then vote for the Democratic Ticket on Election TuesDay November 4, 2014. It is an arduous process to vote with all the hurdles placed before US by the Republican Party in its nationwide voter fraud crusades and we must remember that it is Republican propaganda that has US mistakenly balking the Affordable Care Act and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

D: Man! Republican Propagandists that include the American Press Corps, which really got itself into an ethical ravine with police officers in Ferguson, Missouri. On one end of the chasm, there were misreporting news reporters from The Washington Post and The Huffington Post taking notes about the riotous night ahead at a nearby McDonald’s restaurant when they were roughhoused by police officers trying to vacate the premises in their efforts to besmirch the collection of any evidence contrary to what they and their Republican Tea GOP financiers were attempting to portray outside the county lines of St. Louis, Missouri. The police force is infiltrated by partisanship and fear because the Koch Klutz Klan has them in its mercilessly mercenary grip. The only remedy to the gridlocked quagmire of the Republican Tea GOP and its billionaire donors on the United States political process and race relations in its suburbs is for US to plan today to register and then vote for the Democratic alternative that is so beautifully outlined in Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Hard Choices.

M: Dude! I actually made a note in my copy to share with you one of many favorite passages from Hard Choices. Look here!

D: Man! Page 51’s marked up with highlighter yellow!

After Japan it was onto Jakarta, Indonesia, where I was welcomed by a group of young students from the primary school that President Obama attended as a young  boy. During my visit, I went on The Awesome Show, one of the country’s most popular television programs. It felt just like MTV. Loud music blared between segments, and the interviewers all looked young enough to be in school, not hosting a national talk show.

They asked me a question that I would hear all over the world: How could I work with President Obama after we had campaigned so hard against each other? Indonesia was still a very young democracy; the longtime ruler, Suharto, was ousted in 1998 through popular protests, and the first direct Presidential election was held only in 2004. So it was not surprising that people were more accustomed to political rivals being jailed or exiled rather than appointed chief diplomat. I said it had not been easy losing a hard-fought campaign to President Obama but that democracy works only if political leaders put the common good ahead of personal interest. I told them that when he asked me to serve, I accepted because we both love our country. It was the first of many times that our partnership would serve as an example for people in other countries trying to understand democracy.

M: Dude! Election TuesDay November 4, 2014! Register immediately and save US and our beloved nation.

D: Man! If we don’t register and then vote, the Republican Tea GOP will never stop its Congressional Republican mayhem. United States citizens need to also keep in mind that anybody with a copy of The Declaration of Independence of July 4, 1776 can list off the grievances our founders had then with the King of Great Britain as being the same egregious tyrannies being committed by the Republican Tea GOP and its billionaire donors.

M: Dude! Really?

D: Man! Yes. Listen. I just simplified the wording to make it applicable to the entire body of Republican Tea GOP including their oligarchs.

They have refused their Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

They have forbidden their Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till their Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, they have utterly neglected to attend to them.

They have refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants such as they.

They have called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with their measures.

They have dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness their invasions on the rights of people.

They have refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

They have endeavored to prevent the population of these 50 States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migration hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

They have obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing their Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

They have made Judges dependent on their Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

They have erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.

They have kept amongst us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

They have affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

They have combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving their Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation.
For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us.

For protecting them, by mock Trials, from punishment for any murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States.

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world.

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent.

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trail by Jury.

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences.

For abolishing the free System of American Laws in neighboring States, establishing therein Arbitrary governments, and enlarging their Boundaries so as to render the States at once examples and fit instruments for introducing the same absolute rules into these United States of America.

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments.

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with the power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

They have abdicted Government here, by declaring us out of their Protections and waging War against us.

They have plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the Lives of our people.

They are at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstance of Cruelty and perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy Heads of our civilized nation!

They have constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
They have excited domestic insurrections amongst US, and have endeavored to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Minorities and Female Savages, whose known rules of warfare, are an undistinguished degradation of all ages, sexes and conditions in their eyes.

M: Dude! Register to vote immediately and then vote for the Democratic Ticket on or before Election TuesDay November 4, 2014!

Shape Tomorrows: Register, Then Vote 2014

Man! Dude! Session #302

(D)ude: Man! President Clinton and Republican Tea GOP Senator John McCain were reportedly conducting a Q and A at a closed press event last year for McCain’s The McCain Institute for International Leadership headquartered in Washington, DC but linked to Arizona State University. According to Wikipedia, its work is focused on achieving both immediate and long-range impact, through activities that maximize the ability of leaders to make enlightened decisions—

(M)an: Dude! Enlightened delusions! Through activities that maximize the ability of leaders to make enlightened delusions!

D: Man! Really? Do you think someone miswrote the Wikipedia piece on The McCain Institute that has a partnership with Arizona State University?

M: Dude! Of course! Wikipedia’s piece totally credited The McCain Institute with qualities it clearly lacks. But, then again, Wal-Mart and FedEx and hedge funder Paul E. Singer are financial contributors with special interests, which McCain’s spokespeople steadfastly deny affecting Senator McCain’s voting record, according, again, to Wikipedia.

D: Man! You know, come to think of everything that’s happening across the globe right now, I think it is a great time to delve upon affairs of the heart like love and Leon Festinger’s Theory of Cognitive Dissonance.

M: Dude! Is that right?

D: Man! It could be either Rightist or Leftist as a matter of fact! You see, both Tea GOP Senator McCain and Former President Bill Clinton are afflicted with the same sort of strife and stifling intellectual paralysis.

M: Dude! Have you seen George Will’s ventriloquism on Faux News Sunday with Chris Wallace? No? Well, George Will has an alter ego named Buttknuck Hewer Therewithal.

D: Man! Male or female?

M: Dude! The male Buttknuck Hewer Therewithal shares the same persecuting, parental, and public criterion for awareness with John McCain and Bill Clinton that entails logorrhea and self-worship at the dinner table where there is no guessing about who is coming or not. Simply stated, Buttknuck Hewer Therewithal, John McCain, and Bill Clinton are imposing imposters lacking genuineness and slaphappy by criticism, especially with their token mentalities: Therewithal, care of George Will, shamelessly describing teddy bear bandits amongst the UACs—as he and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee choose to address unaccompanied children crossing the Mexico and US Border; McCain believing his daughters Megan and Bridget as tokens of his own personal tolerance and humanity; and Bill Clinton believing his office in Harlem as a token of his racial sensitivity and consciousness.

D: Man! The three epitomize white flight anxiety of the status quo. And going back to cognitive dissonance, Therewithal or George Will, John McCain, and Bill Clinton are capuchin monkeys that pay forward positive and negative outcomes like four-year-old children were found to do as well by the researchers Leimgruber et al in a study published January 29, 2014. I believe the three are actual hindrances to the President of the United States and Secretary John Kerry.

M: Dude! Capuchin monkeys? You rather call the three men monkeys, and not call their ridiculousness childish? Good reasoning! I agree. George Will, John McCain, and Bill Clinton are the fox in Aesop’s fable that could not reach the grapes on a high vine and, instead, declares the grapes sour or unripe. Likewise, the three men in question are  profiteering to that point where they declare the President and Secretary Kerry’s foreign policy praxis hesitant and in need of an offense strategy while applying should-would-could scenarios to specific yesterdays, including past years.

D: Man! Specific yesterdays and past years including going back and arming Syrian rebels against Assad’s forces. You know, going back to that Aesop fable, I think Therewithal/Will and McCain and Clinton are dangling grapes of malice above the heads of world leaders in the Middle East foolishly. That’s why the Islamic World is silently watching the provocations around them without ever taking a breath of the toxic air that is extremism and has descended upon the United States with The Wall Street Journal improvidently insisting that the President of the United States heed to that newspaper’s partisan contemptuousness.

M: Dude! I read about The Third Iraq War too! That article was fuming with hate, distortions, and neoconservative Buttknuck. George Will might fuss his words on television, but he and Peggy Noonan really know how to remain offensively rift in their sickly partisan tripe on paper.

D: Man! With campaign finance reform fatally wounded due to John Roberts’ SCOTUS, I think the Wall Street Journal article actually spelled out the ingredients alongside the recipe the American Press and the Republican Tea GOP have offered up in response to the offensive lineup in the Middle East they wanted to deploy and still demand today from the President of the United States. The article fully entitled The Third Iraq War: Limited bombing won’t defeat the new terrorist caliphate was partisan overkill.

M: Dude! It’s like the theological divide between the Christian Apologetics and the Christian Polemics, isn’t it? You’ve got a mercurial gauge where there is no one blueprint, but there are realistically multiple blueprints forming minute by minute. The President of the United States understands the new mechanics because his Administration and he are sincerely invested in the Middle East politically healing the scars of warfare while attempting to seal the wounds of freshly begotten casualties. And then you’ve got the Congressional Republican Tea GOP that is axing the considerate and upgraded brilliance of the President of the United States and the dreams of the American people that are on the line and needing folks like us to register and vote on Election Day Tuesday, November 4, 2014!

D: Man! There is mercury spilling forth from that gauge because of the Congressional Republicans’ inactions here in the United States have broken that delicate structure. However, the last time for a recalibration of that gauge is this Election Day Tuesday, November 4, 2014! We must register and vote for the sake of the world too! This is the final time to get our House and Senate in order and the Republican Obstructionists out. And, by the way, we can actually replace the mercury gauge with a digital one! The President is overworked, but the American People must show up and register to vote and then actually cast their ballot on Election Day November 4, 2014 so that the world remains intact because Trey Parker’s Team America World Police might be puppetry, but the Congressional Republicans will defy the fiction those marionettes lived through too! Beware!

M: Dude! New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is scheduled to accost Mexico and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is scheduled to encroach Guatemala next month. President Obama and Secretary Kerry better intervene now and not allow these Republican Tea GOP obstructionists to quash all the hard work put forth by the Obama Administration in Central America.

D: Man! I think if the founding fathers had access to the excess that the Republican Tea GOP and the status quo have available to them today, George Washington would willingly trade in the horse saddle and the subsequent hemorrhoids suffered on horseback, to airline tickets with economy classers on Jet Blue any day, even after the recent fire due to bird strikes.

M: Dude! Joseph J. Ellis’s biography of George Washington is rich!

Vote Against the Agony of Stereotypes & Generalizations

Man! Dude! Session #301

(M)an: Dude! The Houston Chronicle’s Craig Hlavaty reported the story WFAA-TV in Dallas covered about a mother named Vanessa Bailey being told to breastfeed her baby in a restroom stall when she was tending to the sacred business at hand in the lobby of the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

(D)ude: Man! A restroom stall? Really? We’re still having to address the need for comfortable and ergonomically sound public furniture for moms to address the issue of breastfeeding their hungry babies? A restroom stall! That’s cruel! A restroom stall?

M: Dude! Hlavaty included twenty-three instances around the United States of women being either confronted and questioned or accepted for breastfeeding their children in public. Like when Assistant Professor Adrienne Pine could not make last minute childcare arrangements and ended up nursing her feverishly ill infant before a class of forty at American University in Washington, DC.

D: Man! You know, Toni Morrison begins her book The Song of Solomon with an instance where a mother nurses her child well onto the age of six. Morrison has the genius to preserve and persevere the innocence of mother and child while contrasting that naturalness with the community’s unnaturally harsh criticisms.

M: Dude! Unnaturally harsh criticisms have been made about the Yazidi population in Northern Iraq and it reminds me of the Ahmadiyya population in the Dominion of Pakistan following the 1947 Partition of India.

D: Man! Sense of exclusivity and caste within both these religions is what I think led to the religious strife against the Yazidi and the Ahmadiyya by the surrounding Muslims and Christians. However, I think the Roman Catholic Church’s social work in Pakistan is a showcase of the kind of diplomacy and missionary etiquette that the United States of America’s religious leaders need to adopt in order to create the inclusiveness that the President of the United States and Secretary Kerry are promoting and encouraging.

M: Dude! Is there a lot of exclusivity amongst the Yazidi and the Ahmadiyya populations?

D: Man! Yes. The Yazidi population has divided itself into 3 castes: the Murids, the Sheiks, and the Pirs, and intermarriage between them is grounds for punishment by death due to dishonoring the hierarchy. The Ahmadiyya population identifies 3 beliefs concerning Jesus and critics question the latter two, if not all three.

M: Dude! Three beliefs about Jesus?

D: Man! What are the three beliefs about Jesus? Jesus is one of the Prophets of Islam and He will return on the Last Day?

M: Dude! Yep, that’s the first. Second, there’s the second coming of Him in the form of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad who was born in 1835. And the third’s about their faith being the an Islamic revivalist movement emphasizing a reworking of the concepts of jihad and warfare. According to the Ahmadiyya perspective, jihad is an intrapersonal struggle that people have to contend within throughout their lifetime and violence must be the last resort while encouraging written dialogue instead of military intervention. This is referred to as Jihad-ul-Akbar or The Greater Jihad.

D: Man! The Yazidi people reportedly are grateful for and accept the United States Military’s assistance because, as a marginalized and targeted group by Islamist militants, they are given protections that are otherwise unavailable. But I think the solution to the problem of combating the mind’s exclusivity is for the Iraqi and the Iranian governments to provide an opportunity for the Yazidi to write down their religious practices and personal histories of massacres and survival. The history and the recordings of actual Yazidi people must be taken, like how the University of California’s linguists carry out research of marginalized languages and the people who speak them across the country and globe.

M: Dude! There’s the issue of Satan that is considerably controversial because of a major misunderstanding between the Muslim and Christian religions and the Yazidi population. You see, there’s a point of contention concerning Satan between the Muslims and the Yazidis that makes the Muslims declare the Yazidis devil worshippers and after which the Christians follow suit. The Yazidis’ Peacock Angel is known as the Melek Taus or Shay-tan in Arabic. Well, in Arabic and, hence, in the Koran, Shay-tan is literally Satan.

D: Man! You know, I spoke with John-Jahn yesterday and he reportedly has heard Muslim women in the Indo-Pak chide their children for misbehaving by reprimanding them for acting Shay-tan.

M: Dude! So the name of Satan is used in admonishing misbehaviors?

D: Man! Of course! And the other thing to keep in mind is the agony of simplicities like stereotypes and generalizations.

M: Dude! Certainly! John-Jahn also discussed the technicality between the Kurmanji Melek Taus and the Arabic Shay-tan. Apparently, in Creation, according to the Yazidis, the archangel Melek Taus was the first one God created and the only one to disobey Him when asked to bow down to Adam, crying out the reason being that he, Melek Taus, was the illumination of Him while Adam was only dust. God was so impressed by Melek Taus’s reasoning that He made Melek Taus His representative on Earth.

D: Man! Don’t forget that some scholars like Tony Lagouranis in his 2008 paperback Fear Up Harsh: An Army Interrogator’s Dark Journey Through Iraq actually have attempted to clarify the misunderstood beliefs of the Yazidis.

M: Dude! According to an excerpt from Wikipedia, Lagouranis writes… instead, he [Melek Taus] descended, saw the suffering and pain of the world, and cried. His tears, thousands of years' worth, fell on the fires of hell, extinguishing them. If there is evil in the world, it does not come from a fallen angel or from the fires of hell. The evil in this world is man-made. Nevertheless, humans can, like Malak Ta'us, live in this world but still be good.

D: Man! About man-made evil and persecution in the United States as a result of the Republican Tea GOP’s resurgence of voter restrictions and hurdles, I am reminded of a passage out of N. J. Dawood’s paperback translation of the Koran for Penguin Classics alongside the fates of the two African American men, one a teenager named Michael Brown, with his arms raised in surrender and the other a husband and father named John Crawford, purchasing toys, fatally shot by police in Missouri and Ohio: Believers, show discernment when you go to fight for the cause of God, and do not say to those that offer you peace: ‘You are not believers,’ –seeking the chance booty of this world; for with God there are abundant gains. Such was your custom in days gone by, but now God has bestowed on you His grace. Therefore show discernment; God is cognizant of all your actions [page 71].

Man! Dude! Session #300

(D)ude: Man! The Republican Tea GOP is like the corrective plastic surgery patients of Drs. Paul Nassif and Terry DuBrow.

(M)an: Dude! Drs. Nassif and DuBrow are corrective plastic surgery cases themselves!

D: Man! I agree. Paul and Terry both have arresting stares that come with a possible eyelid or eyebrow lift.

M: Dude! You think? I don’t know. But what I do know is that plastic surgery’s taxing on the blood vessels in the skin and to become addicted only makes you prone to problems like paralysis due to the formation of scar tissue.

D: Man! Blood vessels? Are blood vessels rendered inoperable after a certain number of operations? Are the blood vessels what are susceptible to Botox poisoning?

M: Dude! Yeah? Probably. So when did Drs. Nassif and DuBrow become Paul and Terry? Is this like a soap opera following or a weekend marathon crunch?

D: Man! It’s a combination of the two. You become attached to the case studies but rather not catch every weekly episode and instead opt for a two-hour sampling of the best episodes at the end of the season. I’m absolutely certain that Paul and Terry are tolerable for two hours over one weekend.

M: Dude! That’s four thirty-minute episodes? Cannot say the same about the constructiveness of the Republicans in the United States Congress! Congress is going into its second week of a five-week long break from our nation’s Capitol, and the Republican Tea GOP’s voter suppression strategies are being earmarked legitimate by federal judges appointed to the bench by George Walker Bush during his reign of dragooning errors, one of which was U.S. District Court Judge Thomas D. Schroeder in North Carolina.

D: Man! Dragooning dragons or constitutional drags? Either way, the Republican Tea GOP is botched. We need a new political identity and party like the Millennial Voter Party. Yeah. Imagine the MVPs and the declaration that we are the Most Valuable Players in American Democracy in this new millennium of daily economic and ecological upgrades that the Republican Tea GOP is purposely putting off through brazen hostility and by stoking contempt and bitterness whenever they address audiences and constituents. Why not hold these insulting inciters accountable?

M: Dude! I am an MVP in the MVP! I am a most valuable player in the Millennial Voter Party. Sounds catchy. I like it. But is it a good enough starting point for getting people like James Franco and Seth Rogen to come forward and orchestrate a youth movement this Election Day Tuesday, November 4, 2014?

D: Man! The cast of This is the End probably does get together at get-togethers where there is plenty pendulum support amongst young professionals and the laidback easy goers to soothe the pain of the reality that the Republican Tea GOP is bringing upon US. In fact, if we don’t vote it will be an end to our last chance for freedom and freewill.

M: Dude! I want to shut my eyes and wish away the Republican Tea GOP too! Their hate hurts so much that I am convinced that you cannot pray about prey like these Republican Tea GOP. The only solution to the problematic cycle of returning to the twentieth century or much earlier over and over again is to plan ahead to register to vote right now and actually show up to vote on Election Day Tuesday, November 4, 2014.

D: Man! Judge Thomas D. Schroeder of North Carolina did disservice all of US by upholding the Republican Party’s totalitarian voting laws on the grounds that groups like the NAACP and the League of Women Voters in North Carolina failed to evidence any quote unquote irreparable harm due to the Republican Party’s 2013 voter restrictions made to disenfranchise voters further by reducing early voting days from 17 to ten. And Judge Thomas D. Schroeder was not persuaded about the need for arrangements like those made in the 2012 Presidential Election to accommodate strong voter turnouts since we are only facing Midterm Elections this November 4, 2014.

M: Dude! We’ll just have to prove Judge Schroeder wrong by registering to vote and showing up to cast our ballots on Election Day Tuesday, November 4, 2014.

D: Man! Did you notice the way Judge Schroeder placed the responsibilities of figuring out the specifics of state laws to the legislative branch of government in North Carolina, insisting that the legislators take it upon themselves to solve the specifics to problems like voter identification requirements?

M: Dude! What’s up with the Republican Tea GOP? They want the Legislative Branch to do nothing and obstruct the Executive Branch while the Judicial Branch handles every crisis! Isn’t it time that Justice John Marshall’s judicial review come under scrutiny?

D: Man! That’s only possible in the hands of the voters in the United States of America! If  American Voters decide to register to vote and then actually report to a polling place to cast their ballots for the Democratic Ticket, only then can anybody or anything come under proper scrutiny.

M: Dude! There’s an elephant in the room here with the Republican Tea GOP, isn’t there? That elephant doesn’t like melting pots or tossed salads and, instead prefers his lettuce and tomatoes separate and unequal.

D: Man! Forget the lettuce and tomatoes! This elephant doesn’t even like vinaigrettes because they remind him of transparency and multiculturalism evident in the way the colors blend into the vegetables and the ground pepper never dissolves.

M: Dude! The elephant’s a typical Ranch dressing enthusiast who likes to pour it on thick until one cannot decipher any of the vegetables at all. Have you ever seen soaking lettuce leaves? Oh! They also pile on the croutons until the salad is comparable to two Big Macs!

Man! Dude! Session #299

(M)an: Dude! I’ve had it! I’ve really had it up to here with these Google searches for 2014 Election Calendars from all 50 states in the United States of America!

(D)ude: Man! Ouch! Aw! I think I just dabbed my right eye with the jalapeño pepper smeared in my hand! Help! What can I do? Think!

M: Dude! I’m trying! I’m seriously trying! I think I’ve got some bottles of Allegra in these cabinets!

D: Man! Are they expired? Hurry! Ouch! This really hurts!

M: Dude! Here! Take these!

D: Man! Two Allegra tablets? I think you’re mistaking them with Advil! Just give me one! Then again, I’ll take all I can get!

M: Dude! Here’s one! Take it! There’s a water bottle behind you! Look!

D: Man! Mm! How long will it take? Is my eye red? It really stings!

M: Dude! Yeah. You’re eye’s red but your cheek is totally swollen and pink!

D: Man! I was trying that Chinese bitter melon recipe with the jalapeño peppers and ground turkey! Man! My cheek’s feeling puffy! You take over for me here so I can run to the bathroom! I think I’m going to apply an ice cold facial! Ah!

M: Dude! Give it five minutes! Watch it! You’re doing okay! Actually, go ahead with the ice cold facial! In fact, take all the time in the world! I’ll finish this! Dude! You should have used the skillet! It’s faster than the burners! Why do I have to be the one to fix it all?

D: Man! Talking about fix it alls, did you catch a glimpse of the IBM SyNapse computer chip? Konrad Krawczyk’s article for the website Digital Trends featured a really nice photograph of the next generation of central processing units, or CPUs.

M: Dude! CPU? So which component of the CPU are we talking about in terms of the tech breakthroughs? The arithmetic logic unit or the control unit?

D: Man! Fortunately, the latest CPU is a first of its kind, combining technology and neuroscience, hence the question here is about whether we’ve achieved a greater understanding between the Left Brain and the Right Brain.

M: Dude! Left Brain and the Right Brain? Which one’s which again?

D: Man! Yesterday’s CPUs were right brained but today’s SyNapse computer chips from IBM have the added capabilities of the left-brain. Of course, the study of the right and left sides of the brain is generally referred to as brain lateralization and is not as conceptually sound as some wish to think, which is good news because the brain’s elasticity, the ability to compensate for injuries sustained in another region make it dynamic and resilient. But according to the rave review of IBM’s SyNapse by Krawczyk, the right side of the brain deals with language and analytics while the left side deals with sensory and pattern recognition. Before, the language and the analytics were conquerable and made the technological advancements we take for granted nowadays possible. But with the added ability to sense patterns of the motion and data in its surrounds, the SyNapse chip makes the impossible possible, and that is beautifully pieced together by Krawczyk when he refers to a typical summertime lull that finds one reclined in a hammock and dozing off. But for a split second, your senses cue into a detail like a bug nearby and you focus in on this bug with the same intensity you would allot to a calculus problem in a textbook.

M: Dude! Oh! I get it! That jerky response between the lull and the mosquito bite is finally measurable? You know, I was placed in high school calculus and failed miserably until I called the local university’s mathematics department and got assistance from the physics PhD who mistook me for Kip Winger.

D: Man! You always had the tackiest hairstyles and unkempt facial hair. I really feel sorry for Kip Winger, he was handsome but lost his looks in booze and drugs. I  think the Republican Tea GOP Representative Steve King of Iowa and Republican Tea GOP Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky are testaments to the return of the Klu Klutz Klan. They and Texas GOP Tea Attorney General Greg Abbott and Florida GOP Tea Representative Curt Clawson are historic lows wanting to score worse pitfalls in public communications with their outright disregard and preferential denial of the multicultural and walking in the opposite direction of diversity or just simply responding with asterisks when asked to spell out their agendas.

M: Dude! What’s an asterisk? Everything but anything?

D: Man! Basically, yeah. Erika Andiola and Cesar Vargas were avoided altogether by GOP Tea Rand Paul and then reduced to stereotypes by GOP Tea Steve King.

M: Dude! The State Department’s Nisha Biswal and the Commerce Department’s Arun Kumar were both mistaken by GOP Tea Representative Curt Clawson for foreign government officials from India at a July 24, 2014 House Foreign Affairs Committee congressional hearing.

D: Man! How Klannish can you get than the Class of 2010 Republican Tea GOP?

M: Dude! We forgot Greg Abbott’s habitual tendency to defer all questions from the American Press Corps to his spokespeople. Whenever asked specifically about the Texas and Mexico Border Crisis, he remains silent and a spokesperson surfaces forth from the background of campaign aides at outdoor press gatherings with the dastardly Governor Rick Perry. Logically, we’ve got an infestation of the know-nothings on our hands. We have to vote for the Democratic Ticket or risk being snubbed by the Koch Klutz Klan.

Kamikaze Squirrels

Man! Dude! Session #298

(D)ude: Man! I saw Mitch McConnell selecting ice cream at Wal-Mart today.

(M)an: Dude! Yeah. I saw Terence Trent D’Arby rearranging the tomatoes there yesterday. He was on his cell phone discussing variants of guacamole with a friend. Could have been an acquaintance. I don’t think you necessarily need a friend to exchange recipes like that.

D: Man! I have a whiskey fruitcake in the freezer dating back to January or February of this year.

M: Dude! I have office stationery dating back two years, yet I went on a shopping spree and returned home with these really cool ink pens that are otherwise too overpriced and don’t really have a high turnover anyways.

D: Man! That’s brilliant! Buying office supplies during the back-to-school hoopla is the only way to not end up with dried out pens and markers in the long run.

M: Dude! Here. You can have ten packets of these and I’ll take the remaining ten. If you want, I can relieve you of the burden of the pink, turquoise, and lime ink pens. They’re quite useless, I know.

D: Man! Useless? They cannot be as useless as the Republican Tea GOP! Like I said, Mitch McConnell was actually buying ice cream at Wal-Mart today. That doggone rascal! My teeth are already too sensitive for me to relish frozen desserts. And I’m rather young, aren’t I?

M: Dude! Of course! Sure! You know why the Republican Tea GOP wants to end the Affordable Care Act? The Republican Tea GOP wants those of us living without to remain disenfranchised. It’s like the Republican Tea GOP members are all suffering from the exact same ailment but do not want the elixir even for them if that means enfranchising the working and middle classes and those of US barely managing at the poverty level.

D: Man! I’ll tell you what I think. I think the Republican Tea GOP is a pack of scraggly squirrels. Scraggly kamikaze squirrels. I don’t know about anywhere else, well maybe Austin, Texas, the squirrels situated at the state capitol are mischievous to the point where they’ll confiscate your lunch items if you allow them anywhere near. Their antics at picnics make me feel obtuse like a puppy.

M: Dude! Scraggly squirrels, I understand. But kamikaze? I’m going to have to think this through.

D: Man! Yeah! Scraggly kamikaze squirrels! They’re everywhere you don’t want them to be, especially crossing over a lane or a street when you’re behind the wheel and driving inconsiderately. You know what I mean?

M: Dude! I think I do. I think what you’re meaning to convey here is that squirrels are imprudent in their steps and consequent mishaps. You’re watching out for human pedestrians and the scraggly kamikaze squirrels add onto that stimuli an annoyance of many sorts? Do you think they’re fatalistic?

D: Man! I don’t know about fatalism. However, I did see a squirrel fall down seven feet without any complications. Spineless nosedive downward onto the asphalt as if it happened everyday. Reminded me of the Republican Tea GOP’s steadfast pursuit of nothingness and zilch. The Republican Tea GOP resides in a parallel universe from ours where carbon dioxide is the air of choice for Michelle Bachman and Marsha Blackburn.

M: Dude! There’s a new wave of the industrial revolution underway that Michelle Bachman and Marsha Blackburn and the Republican Tea GOP are trying to halt.

D: Man! There’s another industrial revolution that’s being blocked by the Republican Tea GOP? What’s its focus?

M: Dude! Green energy. Remember Elon Musk of Tesla Motors? Well, the blueprints he made available to the world by making his patents public are now the new direction of industry. However, Jeb Bush and George Prescott Bush are misleading US because of their own private investments and lootings of global oil infrastructures. The Republican Tea GOP membership wants to tear apart the lands of the United States for the purposes of fracking, but do not want a new wave of economic development benefitting the working and middle classers and empowering the destitute.

D: Man! Why? What’s wrong with another industrial revolution focused on green energy and technology?

M: Dude! Rule by the few. Preservation of the status quo. Another chance at sending our sons and daughters to fight senselessly only to return home to nothingness and zilch. Nothingness and zilch for the multitude. The Koch Klutz Klan of the millennium.

D: Man! The Republican Tea GOP is hailing India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a Ronald Reagan. I agree. Going back to that line Alec Baldwin shared on MSNBC once. What was it? Something about how Ronald Reagan made US all shameless in our personal pursuits for swimming pools in our backyards. Remember?

M: Dude! The Republican Tea GOP wants US not to register to vote and definitely not show up to our polling sites and cast our ballots on Election Day Tuesday November 4, 2014. They’re also keeping US from holding rallies and civil demonstrations. But how long can the private sector possibly afford to keep going on in place of the federal government?

D: Man! That’s why Churches across America must hold the rallies and civil demonstrations. Or have Willie Nelson concerts like the one the celebrated country singer did for Wendy Davis recently. You know, Tina Brown’s The Daily Beast and Arianna Huffington’s The Huffington Post are already forecasting a Republican Tea GOP win in all the upcoming election races. But, then again, Tina Brown and Arianna Huffington are nowadays like Ayn Rand then.
