6 of 24 on the 24th February 2014: We are Alverston & Associates because of Steve Jobs (February 24, 1955 - October 5, 2011).

Children dressed in costume
Faces ghost white with powder makeup
Eyes betraying the smiles on their faces.
Prejudged and awaiting their arrival
Candy bought just for their social status
By folks who rather not open the door
Except for the inconvenience of
Having turned on their porch lights
For the naturally fair and fortunate.
Hence, making an equal and opposite reaction
Of an influx of so-called societal wreckage
To the dissatisfaction of proprietors.
Reluctance that need not be fed:
Just go to the store and buy after-Halloween
Rigmarole
Gobbledygook
Knick-knacks
Confectionery
Instead of door-to-door
Beseeching
Beggary.
Abjure the neighborhood honchos
And empower your own jackanapes in
Private indulgence in confection affection.
