"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

Man! Dude! Session #333

(M)an: Dude! Why do you keep invading my personal space like that?

(D)ude: Man! Like what?

M: Dude! Like right now! See?

D: Man! You keep spraying the cologne away from you! I cannot let it be squandered  since you still haven’t figured out what direction to aim the spray!

M: Dude! You’re convinced that you’re somehow keeping the cologne from going to waste by colliding into me every time I misdirect the spray?

D: Man! Yeah! I’m not one for lost opportunity.

M: Dude! You’re erratic like Arizona Senator John McCain!

D: Man! If I’m John McCain, then you’re definitely South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham.

M: Dude! They’re bosom buddies?

D: Man! They’re confederated intimates!

M: Dude! Wow! Speaking of confederated intimates John McCain and Lindsey Graham, have you picked up on the new trend in the Republican Party suddenly to present the worst case scenarios in policy construction possible state-by-state?

D: Man! Are you talking about Republican Governors Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas and Mike Pence of Indiana?

M: Dude! Yeah! Did you know that the Republican Governors Association Chair and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie thought up the entire charade of implementing heinous policies in order to make way for another Bush Presidency, this time former Florida Governor Jeb Bush?

D: Man! Is the Republican Party crumbling to the extent that now it’s getting state-by-state public policies drafted and passed into legislation that will make Jeb Bush appear to be the only logical solution for the Republican Ticket in the 2016 Presidential Elections?

M: Dude! Yeah! The Republican Party is desperate and will do anything to usher Jeb Bush into the White House in 2016, Chris Christie and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker just pulling rabbits out of hats in the meantime because they got to their positions of power because of Herbert Walker Bush 41 and Walker Bush 43.

D: Man! Why Jeb Bush?

M: Dude! The Republican Party wants to place American boots on the ground in the Middle East and bomb all the Muslim nations to the point where civilians in countries like Iran and Pakistan will be left stranded in unnecessarily manufactured killing fields by neoconservative President Jeb Bush and his GOP Administration.

D: Man! The cycle of warfare is turning towards another round of ballistics and battles with Jeb Bush 45 waiting to rise up as the savior candidate for the neocon Republican Tea GOP in 2016.

Daily Surface Water Treatment Technique Violation(s)

Man! Dude! Session #332

(D)ude: Man! Nate Silver’s trying to build a case of the three strains of Republicanism out there and fitting GOP candidates along the lines of too moderate or too conservative or “just right” like the three bears’ porridge that Goldilocks chooses from discriminatingly. The article is dated February 19, 2015 and is titled “Marco Rubio and The Pareto Frontier” but I doubt Nate Silver has ever seen these GOP nominees working the floor of the United States Senate or chairing congressional hearings obtusely on C-SPAN DOT ORG.

(M)an: Dude! The bottom-line is that the American Voter must come out and cast a ballot in the 2016 Elections or watch from the sidelines as American Democracy dissolves with the advent of President Jeb Bush and Vice President Mitt Romney. Nate Silver mentions the late conservative William F. Buckley without mentioning Citizens United’s impact on Neoconservative Ideology since Buckley’s reign on Sunday morning broadcasts ending with his February 27, 2008 death at age 82.

D: Man! Nate Silver gives an example of restaurants in terms of the Pareto Optimization factor, but shouldn’t the concern be more about the quality of the food at the restaurants listed by Nate Silver? You’ve got White Castle, Giovanni’s, and The French Laundry alongside Olive Garden in Nate Silver’s example, but correct me if I’m mistaken, but aren’t all these restaurants subpar in terms of the quality of the cooking oil being used at these establishments?

M: Dude! That’s an excellent point. Nate Silver doesn’t have the discerning taste buds to pick up on the terrible quality of cooking agents being used at these restaurants. He is unaware of the troubles with these eateries that we’ve had the displeasure of experiencing. Does that make us exceptional outliers?

D: Man! May be we’re too involved with preparing our own meals?

M: Dude! I don’t know! I just can’t figure out what’s with us!

D: Man! Maybe Nate Silver is trying to orchestrate a comeback for Jeb Bush who he lists as being in dire straits as of last month. In fact, Nate Silver favors Marco Rubio and Scott Walker over the other Republican presidential candidates. But Marco Rubio and Scott Walker are obvious quasi affiliates of the Bush Family Dynasty as are Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, and Rick Perry.

M: Dude! Yes. Like stale and overused cooking oils at American eateries, the Republican Party in the United States has no real solutions for the new millennium. Fear and punishment are big on Jeb Bush’s agenda for world domination. But it’s cheating when you knowingly put up with old cooking oils and agents like Dick Cheney and Condi Rice, regardless of how much of a different man or your own man you are or aren’t from your familial predecessors.

D: Man! Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ill-fitted to face the havoc of Dick Cheney and Condi Rice again, especially with the Republican Majority in both houses of the United States Congress. Why? Because there is not a lot of intellectual prowess evenly distributed amongst the Republican Tea GOP and Democratic Teabags. Instead, you’ve got Dick Cheney overseeing matters here and Condi Rice overseeing matters there as if they are the designated power brokers for the Republican Party and Democratic Teabags.

M: Dude! Does Jeb Bush know about the Iron Dome and its dynamics? Do the Republican Party brand names his brother and father promoted to positions of power grasp the concept of having a mobile and weather durable system of intercepting and decimating short-range rockets coming into Israel? Or will they defer the matter onto Dick Cheney and Condi Rice?

D: Man! Deferring onto Dick Cheney and Condi Rice only means a surge of American boots on the ground in the Middle East and the surrounds under a Republican president. Simply stated, the world is in peril if the American Voter chooses not to cast a ballot in 2016. But I wouldn’t be surprised if people refuse to cast their ballots. There were a lot of intimidators and a lot of effective intimidation tactics taking place when I went to cast my ballot in 2014. I actually went to cast my ballot twice, the first time returning to work after fifteen minutes of waiting and tolerating the suffocating atmosphere in which an elderly man flashed his American passport in the air gruffly while a husband and wife pair stood at the entrance into the polling place with the intent to discourage all voters by misinforming them about the machines not working properly and causing wait times over thirty minutes.

M: Dude! What about the second time?

D: Man! The second time I went to cast my ballot, there was no clearance given between the ballot boxes. It was purposely voter atop voter to discourage participation. If I had not studied the candidates listed on a sample ballot beforehand, I would have easily lost concentration and interest in completing the process with sincerity because of the pile of voters behind me waiting to cast their electronic ballots.

M: Dude! I felt uncomfortable too casting my 2014 ballot! The Republican candidates and their supporters staged phony conversations with constituents outside of the polling place. I am almost certain that was a ploy involving local church and civic leaders who wanted their local yokel candidates to win.

D: Man! These people are living in a rut and want to impose the same timidity upon us all! Look at how willingly Mitt Romney entertains the physical blows from his grandson in the documentary Mitt. The child is wearing a rustic plastic diaper and repeatedly stabbing his toy onto Mitt Romney’s face. Clearly, the kid’s destined for membership inside an American fraternity.

M: Dude! Look at the ricochet of fracking sites throughout Dallas Fort Worth! This place used to be in the top ten sites for raising a family and starting a business. Now? It’s deteriorated and continues deteriorating! Look at this notice of surface water treatment technique violation from February 16 and 17, 2015.

Intentional Syncopic Conditioning

Man! Dude! Session #331

(M)an: Dude! You’re back early! There are a good eight days remaining until 3.31.15!

(D)ude: Man! Karl Rove brought me back from vacationing with his rot bananas and baloney babbles about Hillary Rodham Clinton and Huma Abedin on Chris Wallace’s March 15, 2015 Sunday broadcast on Fox News.

M: Dude! You’re right! Karl Rove managed to bring out the progressive in all the otherwise neoconservative panelists while Chris Wallace chortled with actual giggle snorts before dismissing the entire segment and the panelists as having come under the influence of the caffeinated coffee on set.

D: Man! That’s hooey hogwash! Hooey hogwash! It’s everywhere! The politicians, pundits, and press in the United States are resolute in mangling the foreign policy and domestic agenda of the President of the United States and his Administration. The American politicians, pundits, and press choose to overlook the facts in favor of telling complete lies about the state of affairs in the United States of America.

M: Dude! The only end to the congressional claptrap hearings would be for the Federal Bureau of Investigation to intervene and seize all the servers belonging to the press, pundits, and politicians in the United States from the time of President Herbert Walker Bush onwards.

D: Man! Why not from the time of President Ronald Reagan? Peggy Noonan and The Wall Street Journal remain capable of reaffirming poisonous applesauce and spinning fabulously grim fairy tales about the mathematics of President Bill Clinton’s years in office.

M: Dude! Servers were not commercialized for personal computers until the 1990s!

D: Man! Yeah! You’re onto something here! The neoconservatives and the telecom companies only bothered into the net neutrality debate to stop the profusion of free speech and diverse websites because Peggy Noonan and The Wall Street Journal et al did not want competitive perspectives to evolve and become embraced by the masses, especially not in an era where businesses reign and politicians, pundits, and press sellout cheap. The Koch Brothers are wanting the Keystone XL Pipeline completed in the United States of America because of their own financial investment in Canadian tar sands transport benefitting no one but David Koch and his siblings. The price at which all the Republican Senators and nine Democratic Teabags, like Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri, signed onto the legislation promoting Keystone XL totaled just over thirty-one million dollars.

M: Dude! Speaking of Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri, have you read about her latest efforts to address sexual violence on college and university campuses nationwide?

D: Man! The Campus Accountability and Safety Act of 2015?

M: Dude! Yes! In response to this latest piece of legislation, Senator McCaskill had this to say, To truly curb these crimes, we’ve got to have a road map for colleges and universities to increase responsiveness when crimes occur, better protect and empower students, and establish better informed guidelines that actually have some teeth. But I question whether Senator Claire McCaskill is aware of the secluded nature of the  highways that have been built to accommodate the transport of tar sands across the United States. The highways are toll ways hence they remain deserted and without traffic. There is too much secluded infrastructure all over Dallas Fort Worth that I suspect that these highways will assist human predators in finding, attacking, and disposing of their child, adolescent, and adult prey easily.

D: Man! That’s the grim reality, isn’t it? Unless these newly constructed toll ways become available for travel to the general public without the pricings, they will be accessories to the most horrific unreported crimes in the new millennium. Imagine if Phillip Craig Garrison had access to the practically empty and tolled highways of DFW? Jaycee Lee Dugard was found by police on the UC Berkeley campus eighteen years after her abduction, of course. But I cannot help but tally up the exhaustive list of schools and campuses in the DFW area and all the possibilities for criminals to supplant themselves near these schools and campuses for the intent and purpose to molest and kill victims.

M: Dude! Is Senator Claire McCaskill not aware of the plight of Native American women living near oil and gas and mining operations already? Is Senator McCaskill just outlining ways to increase responsiveness to prepare for the oncoming dire straits that will consume White American women living in poverty as well and residing next to these abandoned highway systems?

D: Man! What about the refugees that are being taken care of by our coalition partners in the Middle East? Turkey and Jordan and Afghanistan and Pakistan are providing refuge for displaced persons from Syria and across the region. Iran and Iraq are participating with their boots on the ground together. But United States politicians, pundits, and press refuse to even cover which 60 countries attended The White House Summit on Countering Violent Extremism.

M: Dude! What about White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough addressing the 2015 J Street Conference today in Washington, DC? And President Obama visiting with Benjamin Netanyahu and Shimon Peres in Israel last Wednesday, March 18, 2015? The American Press Corps deserves a serving of chortling giggle snorts for its intentional syncopic conditioning.

D: Man! I’ll tell you about applesauce. I was eating some today for lunch, the unsweetened kind I like from Aldi. The taste took me back through years of memories that I had, honestly, never had the honor of ever experiencing. It was like the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales which I’ve never read but nevertheless know by heart. Well, actually, just a fraction of the tales as they were originally written have I had the privilege of knowing. I think the fates of the folks and fairies in the original storybook were much, much somber.

M: Dude! The Republican GOP and Democratic Teabags like Representative Tulsi Gabbard and Senator Bob Menendez, however, are the onions which bring tears to my eyes these days.

Pledge Tones Counseling (Client Two, Session One, Part II)

Pledge Tones Counseling (Client Two, Session One, Part II)

Client: I find comfort in Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr.’s sermon “Unfulfilled Dreams” because my David was in some ways like King David too, as all our sons and daughters in uniform ought be respected, who believed in service and went into combat fearlessly to build a temple of sorts for healing and recovering from the last century’s silent legacy of bigotry that goes unaddressed by the supremacist Republicans and Democrats who are afraid to face what some have termed the eventual browning of the United States. I have objections to the term browning personally because I believe it only infuriates the intolerant to further their contemptible agenda of overt hate into mainstream society while their political representatives in government legislate blow after blow to human rights covertly through their localities, gerrymandered to disenfranchise minorities and voice consensually to big money donors who, despite their fortunes, are cruder than oil.

Pledge Tones: Are foreign leaders like Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and domestic ones such as the forty plus so in the United States Senate who sent out a letter forewarning Iran of any peace deal through the current administration not standing once the Republicans take over the Executive Branch in 2016 actually a reflection of just how pervasively the neoconservatives are allowed by American Media to undermine progressive measures?

Client: And the American Media mostly if not always undermines the Democratic Presidencies’ efforts to unite all nations intelligently through talks, not weapons. It’s like the American Press Corps follows two separate scripts of questions and concerns when addressing neoconservatives and the progressives, giving substantial leeway to the neoconservatives than the progressives. Why won’t the American Press Corps revisit the injustices and rewrites of George Walker’s Vice President Dick Cheney as they pertain to bypassing recording keeping entirely with the National Archives and Records Administration as of 2003? Instead, the American Press Corps has chosen to focus erroneously on Hillary Rodham Clinton’s email records. Neither the United States Press nor the neoconservatives will ever read through the 55,000 pages made available by Rodham Clinton, but they will insist upon longing for and agonizing over the 10% that they won’t get access to due to the family details disclosed inside and, hence, the prolonged public pining by broadcasters on all major television networks and radio shows for the duration of the rest of this year and the starting half of the next.

Pledge Tones: There is a strategy underway to undermine Hillary Clinton and women nationwide and all over the world through calculated partisanship in major media outlets? How about local newspapers and periodicals?

Client: Yes. Terrorists in the Islamic World are not Muslims but rather a transnational network of human traffickers whose only purpose is exploiting and enslaving girls and boys, men and women. These terrorist networks, I conjecture, overlap with the neoconservatives’ network of prostitutes hired by big money donors for entertainment. Therefore, these neoconservative conferences attended by legislators and judiciaries are closed door affairs with invite-only private access that involves the richest in international media providing prescript coverage of the going-on inside, these head honchos exploiting sex workers as well.

Pledge Tones: Your conjecturing?

Client: Yes. I’m a retired professor of curriculum and instruction. I cannot help but view the threat of terrorism as an educator and parent. My mind leaps forth with such intensity. My conjecturing and observations concern corruption and warfronts. Basically, you could not have one without the other due to the inexcusably offensive presumption by Cowboy Dick Cheney and his Posse Roundup in the United States Congress and American Media that their libidos are ungovernable and need to be addressed with the same insistent promiscuous perversion by which Former Senator Bob Dole advocated erectile dysfunction medications in the late 1990s, now in his late nineties. I recall Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s 2005 novel Memories Of My Melancholy Whores with equal revulsion. All of the above males conflate prostitution and sex workers with double standards about sexual health concerns and adolescent development into degrading stereotypes about the female state. It is time for implementing measures to ensure that girls and women are granted opportunities affording them the same agency and knowledge as boys and men to rise above their secondary stations in life with safeguards in place to ensure physical protection from harm and marginalization.

Pledge Tones: Sex trafficking is prevalent in nations where the freedom of the press is restrained. The United States Congress did not renew the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000 when it came up for reauthorization in 2011, although by then Hillary Clinton had implemented an additional means of combating human trafficking worldwide as Secretary of State during her first months on the job in 2009, specifically indicating that partnership was just as crucial as the previously established components of protection, prosecution, and prevention.

Client: Did you catch the ISIL promotional video advertisement by Lorne Michaels and the writers of Saturday Night Live two Sundays ago? Actress Dakota Johnson plays a high school graduate and ISIL recruit whose father has come to the airport to send her off with members of the terrorist organization, with the false assurance that his daughter will be back in time for Thanksgiving. I think it was a calculated move as was the disgust shared by some of the Fox News Channel broadcasters towards that crafted public service announcement for ISIL by Lorne and SNL. The question I would like answered is how Charlie Hebdo’s Caroline Fourest managed to stay out of the city both times when Charlie Hebdo headquarters were bombed in Paris, November 2, 2011 and January 7, 2015. Plus, is it I or has someone elsewhere in the world also detected Islamophobic contempt towards Muslims in general in Caroline Fourest’s sound bytes, interviews, and writings? And is it I or has anyone else read that sheer ridiculousness and flashy emptiness in Salman Rushdie’s books as well?

Pledge Tones: What would be a bottom-line?

Client: Iran and Israel are far more sophisticated and intellectual than the empty-headed Congressional Republicans in the United States Senate and House of Representatives and know ISIL, the GOP, SNL, and Charlie Hebdo are four of many forces that only want to make coming to the table—sensibly and embracing diversity and human integrity—impossible because all four entities are essentially supremacist traffickers at the core. Pledge Tones Counseling (Client Two, Session One, Part I)

Pledge Tones Counseling (Client Two, Session One, Part I)

Client: They did not want him to live. We had to keep him convinced that we weren’t they. That was the hardest obstacle in his way. Trusting us despite their professional spite. And mental health professionals don’t even attempt to spare the patients and families the indignities that result from the standards and codes to which they must adhere. The standards and codes must be rewritten for the new millennium. Family reunification is critical and foremost and I am certain the standards and codes were broken often and callously by the doctors, nurses, psychologists, and counselors because of the horrors my son shared in his moments of clarity and stability.

Pledge Tones: Despite such an obstacle as mental health professionals adhering to strict standards and codes of practice, which made the experience of hospitalization horrific for your son, there were, as you said, moments of clarity and stability?

Client: Lithium wasn’t the cure all as promised by the initial psychiatrist and left my son agitated. Risperdal was the beginning of a breakthrough with my son reporting a surge in energy and a sense of a purposeful optimism like he could take on the world if need be.
Geodon had too many side effects, culminating in its’ eventual discontinuation and my son taking matters into his own hands and contacting other psychiatrists in and around the DFW area who would collaborate with him and me. There was a superb one amongst the ones sought after by my son, an older gentleman who was willing to listen thoroughly but did not make hospital visits unfortunately. My son’s medication schedule was too intense and would definitely require hospitalization to adjust.

Pledge Tones: How did the initial psychiatrist take the news of your son’s switching over to another doctor at the time? I see here that the psychiatrist who prescribed the Lithium, Risperdal, and Geodon also facilitated subsequent treatment plans with another psychiatrist, including actions that led to our meeting here today.

Client: My son was sensitive and by far incredibly intelligent to have the foresight to break the news to the initial psychiatrist via a handwritten letter informing her of his decision to continue his treatment with another psychiatrist well before embarking on the journey to the other physicians’ offices. I just wish he had directed the same sensitivity onto himself. I always kept reminding him of just how much we cherished him each and every day. He knew he was our life and joy. Life and joy are dead. Through no fault of his own, I know, I know. I’m crying hiccups, I know. Much to my own surprise because I promised myself I could get through our meeting without breaking down. I’m breaking down in hiccups, Pledge! Hiccups! God! This is certainly the result of my son’s sense of humor having manifested upon Him! He is with me everywhere, Pledge. But I’m afraid.

Pledge Tones: Of what?

Client: The scent disappearing from his closet as time continues. I had my husband bring home gift boxes from one of the major department stores at the local mall so I could pack his shirts and sweaters in tissue wrap and then store them away in one of those huge plastic containers in the hopes of being able to hold on just one more day and through another night to his presence. My husband, God bless him, even bought all the colognes our son selected through the thirty-two years we got to enjoy his personality. Whenever I feel alone, I allow myself to spray one of the five selections he had chosen with such great care and consideration as his first, second, third, fourth, and fifth acts of serious identification since late junior high school.

Pledge Tones: You refer to your husband affectionately and smilingly. Earlier, you mentioned your son’s sense of humor still sustaining you through the incomprehensible. What impressions do you hold of yourself?

Client: I don’t hold any, Pledge. I am a mother. Yes, that’s my triumph. I had the privilege of my son’s presence for thirty-two inerasable years. But Cowboy Dick Cheney and his Posse Roundup in the United States Congress are at it again, and the American Media is declaring another military campaign abroad with boots on the ground. That’s what makes me lose sleep and remain restless throughout the day, my heart skipping a beat upon the hour, hour after hour, because, like my son, there is a service member dying every fifty-six minutes in the United States of America as a result of suicide. Throughout my son’s hospitalizations and changes in medications, I pleaded with the doctors, nurses, and staffers to allow me to overstay visiting hours so I could assist in my son’s care. I pleaded with God to allow me to take on my son’s suffering and anguish and spare him the emotional scars of constant psychological warfare. Antidepressants and antipsychotics leave too much scar tissue upon the human soul and that resultant scar tissue holds worse memory than any of our musculature.

Pledge Tones: As in the concept of muscle memory?

Client: Yes. I was reading Walter Isaacson’s latest bestseller The Innovators and it got me through some of the sleepless nights as of late. Walter Isaacson shares a statistic about the human brain that blew me away with unexpected hope. Apparently, computers and humans have collaborated successfully to discover just how many neurons and synapses are involved in human brain circuitry. The human brain has 86 billion neurons and up to 150 trillion synapses. Visions without execution are hallucinations. If we could just map out these neurological bases of ingenuity!

Pledge Tones: Wow!

Client: Yes! Isn’t it awesome? The two sentences occur eight pages away from each other, but they are in the same concluding chapter nevertheless. Sounds like the United States Presidencies since Lyndon Johnson ceded the White House to Richard Nixon in exchange for civil rights legislation. The Democrats and Republicans have been swinging a dangerous pendulum of injustice in the face of burgeoning diversity. Democratic Presidencies come in periodically to clean up the mess and get the country out of the socioeconomic disasters created by the outgoing Republican Presidencies. But we mustn’t allow that pattern to stick in 2016 because my son did not die for any more of his brothers and sisters in uniform to enter the killing fields in the Middle East once again with yet another Cowboy Dick Cheney-led neoconservative Bush Presidency and an even more biased United States Press Corps, including the Quinnipiac University pollsters and Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight website’s slanted analyses.

Pledge Tones: As Isaacson says, Visions without execution are hallucinations?

Client: Yes. The neoconservatives’ refusal to produce alternatives to the laws and policies already in place that they want to infringe upon frightens me. The United States Press Corps sudden distractive obsession with Hillary Rodham Clinton’s emails concerns me greatly. Rodham Clinton is the premier intellectual of her generation and differentiating between the genders is nonsense propaganda brought on by the insecurities of the despotic ruling classes who remain convinced they are infallible and charitable enough to bypass all systems of government. Top down trickle down charitable private sector dependency upon oligarchs is the same as chauvinism, sectarianism, and ought to be flipped to where everything is bottom up for the people and by the people once and for all times sake. Interestingly, the neoconservatives’ arguments are verbose and equally packed with such heinously obscene hilarity of habitually progressive promises that never are kept that ushering into the White House Jeb Bush will entail the shredding of millions of ballots and registration forms state by state legislature.

Pledge Tones: I agree and am just as concerned about Hillary Clinton as you. The neoconservatives and their accomplices in the United States Press Corps are attempting to discredit Hillary Rodham Clinton by making it impossible for her to campaign for the United States Presidency in 2016, being bogged down by nonsense allegations and congressional hearings, which are just another way to try to cause irreparable harm to her where it really would hurt any and all of us, that being our children and spouses becoming the targets for the congressional neoconservatives to tear apart.

Client: I’m certain too that Chelsea Clinton and her husband Mark and former President Bill Clinton’s private emails to and from Hillary Rodham Clinton are being targeted. The congressional neoconservatives want Rodham Clinton to speak on behalf of herself, but as you said, that would be a disservice to all Americans and all humanity if Hillary were unable to run for President of the United States in 2016. She is our last fighting chance for reinstating a government that represents the interests and dreams of the many, not just the elite, and breaking the cycle of that pendulum swinging back into the hands of the Republicans after all the socioeconomic advances and progress of the Administration in which then-Secretary of State Rodham Clinton played such a vital part to get the world to trust the United States once again. Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News Channel and the neoconservatives snicker that Rodham Clinton only accrued millions of miles in travel. However, if they cared to read her most recent book, they would probably be too inept to comprehend the hard evidence of the smart power regimen of renegotiations that Rodham Clinton and her team embraced and oversaw in those tough business travels across continents.

Pledge Tones: War seems to be the only foreign policy computation of the neoconservatives in this new century?

Client: I watch a lot of news channels in order to catch the cutthroat wisdom of Colonel Wilkerson from the College of William and Mary. He said something last Wednesday [March 4, 2015] about the pollsters at Quinnipiac to MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, specifically addressing a statistic in which 62% of those polled aligned themselves with the argument that there ought to be American service member boots on the ground fighting the terrorist networks in the Middle East. Colonel Wilkerson responded, “Draft those 62% to lead the way.”

Pledge Tones: Colonel Wilkerson’s heartfelt directness is a jolt of rationality?

Client: Yes. And the second memorable quote of the week came after Colonel Wilkerson had spoken and Chris Hayes was handing over the television broadcast to Rachel Maddow who was visibly shaken like he by the prospect of the United States becoming reengaged with legions of American boots on the ground in a volatile region such as the Middle East. Chris Hayes responded to Maddow’s moment of heartfelt angst like so, “Answering that poll is cheap. Right? It’s what comes after it that costs.” (To be continued…)
