(M)an: Dude! The rapist Julian Assange, his secretive organization Wikileaks, and the Republican Party purposely constructed the cyberattack Friday that began on the East Coast of the United States and spread westward. You see, Julian Assange surfaced in the American Press Corps and International Press Corps recently for his secretive organization Wikileaks hacking the email account of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John D. Podesta, which led the country of Ecuador to suspend Assange’s access to the Internet at their embassy in London, England where he is seeking refuge from Swedish authorities. Julian Assange raped two women in Sweden and the evidence in both cases is heavily documented and nearly identical, both women having contracted the same sexually transmitted disease from their predator and remembering the exact same details of the predator’s genitalia.
(D)ude: Man! Assange has had four years to construct cyber-warfare from his current location at the Ecuadoran embassy in London, England. American voters must understand that this presidential election cycle is critical for not just US, but the world. Donald Trump and Mike Pence and the Republican Party are the caliphs of dark money and deliberate inaction. Look at the HIV/AIDS epidemic across Indiana while Mike Pence was Governor before becoming Donald Trump’s running mate. According to an online National Public Radio article by Angus Chen entitled STD Infections Rise To New Highs After States Close Health Clinics,
The number of people infected with three major sexually transmitted diseases is at an all-time high, according to a CDC report released Wednesday [October 19, 2016] . And the increase in reported cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis is hitting teenagers and young adults hardest.
Over half of gonorrhea and chlamydia cases are in people under the age of 25, says Dr. Jonathan Mermin, director of the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention for the CDC.
These STDs can have serious long term health consequences, including chronic pain and fertility problems. Pregnant women can pass syphilis on to their children, leading to stillbirth or birth defects.
State and local budget cuts to STD care and prevention programs are major drivers in the surge in STDs, Mermin says. "Our ability to prevent STDs is only as strong as the public health infrastructure to support it," he says. "More than half of state and local STD programs have experienced budget cuts. In 2012, 20 health departments reported having to close their STD clinics."
Syphilis infections have been increasing at a particularly troubling rate, according to the report. In 2015, 23,872 cases were reported, a 19 percent increase since 2014. Syphilis cases have been going up over the past decade, while the spike in cases of chlamydia and gonorrhea is more recent. There were 395,216 cases of gonorrhea in 2015, for an increase of 13 percent, and 1.5 million cases of chlamydia, for an increase of 6 percent.
All three infections can be treated with antibiotics, though gonorrhea is becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotics.
"This basically tells us we have to do a better job of reach out to some of these communities that are disproportionately affected by these infections," says Dr. Jose Bazan, a medical director for a STD clinic at Columbus Public Health and an assistant professor of internal medicine at Ohio State University who was not involved with the report.
Men who have sex with men face a greater risk of being infected with syphilis. Over 80 percent of male syphilis cases were reported among gay and bisexual males, and over 90 percent of all syphilis cases were in men. People in racial and sexual minority groups can have more than the usual trouble finding care for preventing and treating STDs.
According to a congressional briefing last April by Dr. Gail Bolan, the director for the CDC Division of STD Prevention, over 40 percent of health departments reduced clinic hours, screening, or tracing people who may have been infected. "If that infrastructure gets eroded, people are more likely to have their STDs for a longer period of time, and that can lead to increased transmission," Mermin says.
The federal government also helps fund state and local STD programs through the CDC, but federal funds have not helped make up for some of the budget cuts on the local level, according to David Harvey, the executive director for the National Coalition of STD Directors. "We believe there's a direct relationship between budget cuts and increases in STDs in the United States. There has been no federal increases for STD programs in this country since 2003," he says.
If the trend is to be reversed, Mermin says there needs to be a real investment in STD prevention so that clinics can monitor these diseases and quickly diagnose and treat people who are infected. "We've seen success in the past where investments have paid off," he says. "We know what we need to do. We just need to do it more effectively than we've been able to do with this eroding infrastructure."
M: Dude! We cannot accept the rashness of a Republican White House and a Republican Majority in both houses of the United States Congress. The American Press Corps and the International Press Corps are claiming there is no difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump because they are so-called “establishment candidates.” But there are enormous differences between Clinton and Trump. Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine are the most transparent presidential and vice presidential pairing since George Washington and John Adams.
D: Man! Donald Trump and Mike Pence are a return to the errors of the past beginning with Richard Nixon and Donald Rumsfeld, and concluding with George Walker Bush and Dick Cheney. Actually, Donald Trump and Mike Pence want to return to the errors of Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney very specifically. Trump and Pence want all-out warfare in the Middle East and American boots on the ground. Trump and Pence use the term “American strength” to refer to their plan for war, whereas George Walker Bush and Dick Cheney used the term “American exceptionalism.”
M: Dude! Doesn’t the corrupt American Press Corps not see the obvious disasters that will be implemented by a Trump and Pence administration? Why doesn’t the American Press Corps read Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine’s book entitled Stronger Together: A Blueprint for America’s Future? Why does the American Press Corps not invest the time to read such a historic document in the history of the United States presidency?
D: Man! You are right. The American Press Corps is corrupt. The cyberattack Friday was not just a joint endeavor between the rapist Assange with a minority of GOP leaders, but the entire Republican Party standing behind a designated presidential candidate who boasted and bragged publicly about his history of sexual assault.
M: Dude! The American Press Corps refuses to admit its role in bringing out obstructionism in 2010 with the Tea Party deluge it exhaustively favored and that produced many of the Congressional Republicans up for reelection this year. The American Press Corps refuses to admit its role in bringing about a culture of depravity where victims are blamed for the dire circumstances they face. You’ve got local and state governments like those across Texas with Republicans in charge and neglecting the need to address the crumbling infrastructure in a genocidal rage that the American Press Corps too is guilty of indulging in. Clearly, the top 1% doesn’t care for the welfare of the rest of the 99% of US!
D: Man! Hence, the elected Republican officials in places like Tarrant County are pocketing funds that otherwise would be invested in rebuilding the collapsing levees and dams and sinking roads and highways. Ironically, wealthy neighborhoods are no longer immune to disaster. Look at the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. Actually, look at the way the neoconservative personalities and Republican Party leadership dealt with the storm front even before it landed. Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report and Rush Limbaugh played down the severity of Hurricane Matthew and blamed the Democratic Party leadership for wanting to sell the idea of climate change when in fact many died as a result of the deliberate misreporting on part of these radio and television and print neocons.
M: Dude! And now the Republican Party leadership wants to relocate the victims of Hurricane Matthew, while the Democratic Party leadership wants to rebuild.
D: Man! Denying climate change realities is genocide. American voters must understand that Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine are willing to take on the challenges and rebuild US from the bottom up and through the middle out, whereas Donald Trump and Mike Pence clearly only want to amass fortune through warfare and building on the plundering tactics that Republican Party officials at the state and local levels across the United States have perfected.
M: Dude! Early voting begins tomorrow across the State of Texas. The New York Times’ Nicole Perlroth reported the following on Friday, after the cyberattack made the New York Times itself inaccessible as well as Twitter, Visa, Netflix, Spotify, Etsy, and Reddit,
It is too early to determine who was behind Friday’s attacks, but it is this type of attack that has election officials concerned. They are worried that an attack could keep citizens from submitting votes.
Thirty-one states and the District of Columbia allow internet voting for overseas military and civilians. Alaska allows any Alaskan citizen to do so. Barbara Simons, the co-author of the book “Broken Ballots: Will Your Vote Count?” and a member of the board of advisers to the Election Assistance Commission, the federal body that oversees voting technology standards, said she had been losing sleep over just this prospect.
“A DDoS attack could certainly impact these votes and make a big difference in swing states,” Dr. Simons said on Friday. “This is a strong argument for why we should not allow voters to send their voted ballots over the internet.”
D: Man! We got to get out and vote for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine! Like Clinton and Kaine state in their masterwork, page 4,
But there are still people in Congress who insist on cutting taxes for the wealthy instead of investing in our future.
They careen from one self-inflicted crisis to another — shutting down the government, threatening to default on our national debt, refusing to make the commonsense investments that used to have broad bipartisan support, like rebuilding our roads, bridges, railways, airports, water systems and electric grid, or investing in better education from early childhood through high school and college.
M: Dude! Take your driver’s license to the early voting site tomorrow. If you are concerned about having been issued a false voter registration card, take another form of identification besides your driver’s license. I will be taking the information I printed out on myself using the online Voter Lookup website for Tarrant County at gisit.tarrantcounty.com.
D: Man! Did you print out my Voter Lookup info too?
M: Dude! Of course! The printout has a map of the early voting polling stations where you can cast your ballot from October 24, 2016 to November 4, 2016. There are several locations listed as well as your state voter identification and county voter identification numbers. You see?
