Not bringing home their fears

Children often decide

Because of the consequences

Of having a parent confront

Not just the primary perpetrator

But the whole group of thugs

In elementary, middle, and high schools.

Often the teachers are just as decisive

In creating a hellish experience if their

Favorites are barred and restraint .

So the targeted have no system of

Support and encouragement.

Intervention is just suppressed

As is the case of sexual harassment:

The school counselor and principal

Set up office visits where

The accuser must retell

Details as the accused sits

There and listens.

Afterwards, the harassed

Must walk out so that the

Harasser, red-faced with anger

May give statements in

Peace and quiet

And be given justice

Since the accuser lost composure

And the accused did not.
